Crux Sacra Sit Mihi Lux,
Non Draco Sit Mihi Dux.
Vade Retro Satana,
Nunquam Suade Mihi Vana,
Sunt Mala Quae Libas,
Ipse Venena Bibas.

O Holy Spirit,
Love of the Father and the Son,
Inspire me always with what I ought to think,
what I ought to say,
how I ought to say it,
what I ought to keep silent,
how I ought to act,
what I ought to do,
for the glory of God,
the good of souls,
and my own sanctification.
Holy Spirit,
Grant me sharpness of mind to understand,
capacity to retain,
method and skill to learn,
subtlety to interpret,
grace and effectiveness to speak.
Grant me success in beginning,
direction while progressing,
and perfection in completing.
Amen.
