OPEN CALL – POETRY SAMPLE******
PAINTED PASSPORT/ PASAPORTE PINTADO
The fine arts that scream. A passport. A promised dream.
Are you a poet?
We invite you to be part of the mini digital poetry project: Painted Passport, a literary initiative that uses poetry as a living testimony against the impact of colonial capitalism on our daily lives.
We are inspired by the metaphor of Aguirre as a sacrifice zone, and the echo of a country where the promise of freedom is still being pursued.
Your poetic voice can become a document, a form of resistance, a denunciation.
We are looking for pieces that explore themes such as:
• Social justice, spirituality, black history, black music
• Identity and migration, intimacy
• Neocolonialism
• The body and territory as an archive of resistance…
Requirements:
• Maximum of 3 poems per author
• Submissions can be in Spanish or English
• Include a mini-Bio (100 words)
• Deadline: August 7, 2025*******
Send your work to:

Let your poetry become a passport to truth!
